Celebrating Diwali
This week we have being celebrating Diwali, the festival of light. Reception to Year 6 took part in a Diwali dancing workshop and had such an amazing time learning all about the story of Rama and Sita:
Nursery
In Nursery we created our own mehndi patterns, work together to decorate Rangoli patterns and used clay to make Diva lamps.
Reception
In Reception we experimented with paint in piping bags to create our own Mehndi patterns and created Rangoli patterns using stencils. We also took part in sweet tasting and decorated Diva lamps.
Year 1 and 2
On Monday, we had a Diwali Day! Two of our favourite activities were creating Rangoli patterns and designing our own Mehndi patterns.
Life Exhibition
On Tuesday, Year 4 and Year 5 took part in a Life Exhibition. The pupils used tablets and headphones to engage in a series of activities, learning about different aspects of the life of Jesus, including parables, the main events of Jesus's life, his death and resurrection.
