Inside/ Outside Poem - From our Worship on April 8th 2024

Grazes heal, scars outside disappear,

Soreness and bruises fade away

In hours, days or even weeks

New skin grows so that

No one knows where the hurt has been.

Hurt feelings, scars inside unseen,

The hurt remains and even grows

For hours, days, weeks and maybe years.

It hides inside us, locked in a secret place

To which only we have the key.

Prayer

Dear God

Please help us to value people around us,

our friends and family,

the people we meet every day of our lives.

Please help us to realise that we are special,

that we have feelings

and can feel both outside and inside.

Amen

We have learnt how to sing this song using Makaton signs. We use this song in Worship when we feel proud of the things we have done, especially when we have shown great RESILLIENCE to achieve it.
