Curriculum Overview

SEND and Geography

We have looked at how we can adapt our teaching for children with different types of SEND. Here are some adaptations we may make, depending on the individual child, to support their learning and to enable us to be inclusive.

Year 1 have been looking at the local area including Walsall. They have also been looking at street view and aerial views of maps.

Year 2 have been on a walk in the local area. They then went to the Black Country Museum and compared life there to life today.

This term Year 4 have been identifying countries in Europe, as well as human and physical features.

Year 5

This term Year have Identified the position and significance of latitude, longitude, Equator, Northern Hemisphere, Southern Hemisphere, the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, Arctic and Antarctic Circle, the Prime/Greenwich Meridian and time zones

Year 6

This term Year 6 are 'Investigating Rivers'. Our first step was to revisit the water cycle.
